Three terminals (A, B, and C) are featured at the Newark Liberty International Airport. Each terminal serves several airlines and a large number of destinations. Short Term Parking
Terminals A, B and C are arranged, more or less, around the edge of a circle. Within this circle are three short term parking lots (A, B and C) and the Terminal C parking garage. Terminal A is close to Parking Lot A, Terminal B to Parking Lot B and Terminal C to Parking Lot C and Garage C. These lots and garage are the most convenient for access to the terminals.
Running around the edge of the terminals area is a transport system known as the AirTrain. This links all terminals to the railway station and several other parking lots and garages. It runs to the daily parking lots P1, P2 and P3 (where rental cars may be picked up and dropped off), and also to the Daily Parking Garage P4 (where courtesy vehicles to hotels are available).
Economy Long Term Parking
Courtesy buses link the terminals to the more distant Economy Parking Lot P6. Free Shuttle Bus Service is provided between P6 and Terminals A, B and C every 10-15 minutes.

For the convenience of disabled passengers, the parking lots nearest to the entrances of each terminal have a limited number of reserved spaces. To park in these reserved spaces and receive the lowest parking rate, official license plates bearing the disabled designation or other official documents issued by a municipality or state of residence must be displayed notably.
Newark International Airport Newark Ground Transportation
Newark Liberty International Airport is served directly by AirTrain, shuttle, bus and taxicab. Public transportation is also available for travel both to and from the airport. A Ground Transportation Courtyard is located at the south end of each terminal (exit through Door one on the Arrival level) and at the north end of Terminal B, near the International Arrivals Lobby. Sheltered, moderately enclosed waiting areas are provided for passengers.
The AirTrain provides service 24 hours per day between Terminals A, B, and C, parking lots P1, P2, P3 and P4 and the rental car complex. The AirTrain trains run every few minutes most of the day. After midnight trains operate approximately every 10 minutes between midnight and 5:00 am.

New Jersey Transit runs a number of bus services that connect Newark Liberty International Airport with some destinations within New Jersey and one service to New York Penn Station.
Taxis are available on demand 24 hours a day. Taxi pick up areas are just outside the exit of each terminal. Airport authorities note that it is important that passengers should only use taxis from authorized stands, and should turn down offers of assistance from helpful strangers. Taxis should only charge flat rates fixed by local authorities, and passengers should determine these before entering the taxi. Bridge and tunnel tolls are not included in the flat rate. Passengers should ask for a receipt showing the driver's name, driver's I.D. Number, cab company name and number, and the amount paid.

Newark Liberty International Airport is an extremely convenient airport to get in and out of. There are four principal routes by which to reach the airport.
US 1 & 9 runs roughly parallel to Newark Bay and the Hudson River, passing the airport on its way. The Airport Exit is signposted.
The NJ Turnpike (Interstate 95) goes roughly north-south through New Jersey and passes the airport at Exits 13A and 14.
Interstate 78 runs out of Manhattan and passes the airport on its way west. The Airport Exit is signposted.
NJ Route 22 runs through much of New Jersey, and has an airport exit.

TRANSFER BETWEEN TERMINALS The AirTrain Newark runs between the terminals and car parks. Taxis are available too.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS The airport is located off Highway-78 (from Manhattan via Holland Tunnel) and Highway-95 in New Jersey.
CAR PARKING Three short-term car parks (Lots A, B and C) are situated in front of each terminal. Daily parking is available in car parks P1, P3 and the multi-storey P4 (P2 and part of P3 are reserved for hire cars), which are connected to the terminals by AirTrain Newark. Free shuttle buses transport passengers to/from the economy parking lot, P6. Valet parking is available.
CAR HIRE Take the free AirTrain Newark to car park P3 station for Avis, Hertz and National; alight at station P2 for Budget and Dollar and to meet courtesy vehicles for the off-site company Enterprise. Courtesy telephones for car hire reservations are situated in the baggage reclaim areas of all terminals.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT Rail: Newark Liberty International Airport station is connected to the terminals via the free AirTrain Newark service. From here, Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains run to Penn Station for connections to PATH subway trains, which serve downtown Manhattan and 33rd Street with other stops on the way. Road: Taxi: Taxis are readily available; passengers should use authorised taxis only and establish a fare before departure. Bus: Olympia Airport Express offers bus services to Port Authority Bus Terminal, Grand Central Station and Penn Station. Other services run to destinations in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island and the suburbs. A number of companies also offer shuttle services to the city. Ground transportation information is available in Arrivals areas of all terminals.
