Introduction
St Louis Airport (STL) is one of the most historic airports in the United States. It was at Lambert-St Louis International Airport (STL) that Theodore Roosevelt became the first American President to take a plane flight. The field was also the location of the world's first parachute jump.
Developed in 1920 by Major Lambert, the airbase at Kinloch Field became the first municipal airport in the United States in 1928. A beautiful mural documenting the history of U.S. aviation is on display in the Main Terminal along with Col. Charles Lindbergh's personal Monocoupe plane, which hangs over the terminal's lower level.
Lambert-St Louis airport is located 13 miles (21 km) from St Louis and offers convenient transport links to the city via the light rail system, amongst a range of transport options. The airport has two terminals serving over 30 million passengers a year, making it the 11th busiest in the USA. Terminals
The facilities on offer at the St Louis International Airport include ATMs, information booths, restaurants, retail stores and a post office. Elevators are available throughout the terminals and wheelchairs can be arranged upon request for the disabled visitors.

Main Terminal
Main Terminal comprises of four concourses (A, B, C and D). The terminal is served by Air Canada Jazz, America West, American, Comair, Continental, Delta, Frontier Airlines, Midwest Airlines, Northwest, United, US Airways and USA 3000 Airlines.

Taxi
Taxi cabs at St Louis International Airport are available outside both the Main Terminal and the East Terminal. Head for exit MT14 on the Yellow level of the Main Terminal and exit ET12 of the East Terminal.
Vans
Van services including Trans Express, Exit Express, USA Tours and Eagle Transportation serve the airport. Van drivers usually meet their clients at the Baggage Claim area M1. They will depart from the Brown Level which can be reached through exits MT14, 15 and 16.
Limousines
Limousine services such as Champagne, GEM, JED, Style Limo, Clayton Coaches Best Transportation, National, Prearranged Services and Primo Sedans provide services at the airport. Most drivers will meet passengers at the gate or in the Baggage Claim area. If not, the cars are located on the Yellow level from exits MT14, 15 and 16.
MetroLink
This is the light rail system that serves St Louis. The stations can be reached on the upper level of the Main Terminal at exit MT1 and from the parking garage of the East Terminal. The service operates from 5:00 am till midnight.

St Louis International Airport is a convenient airport to get in and out of. When approaching the airport from Interstate 170 southbound, take exit 7B. If traveling northbound on I-170, take exit 7C from the far left lane. You'll be Westbound on I-70 for only about a quarter-mile before taking exit 238A, which will take you past the East Terminal and then the Main Terminal.
When coming from St. Charles or Interstate 270 from St. Louis County or Illinois, you will be approaching the airport Eastbound on I-70. Use exit 235C at Cypress Road.

TRANSFER BETWEEN TERMINALS The Metrolink transfers passengers between terminals.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS From I-170 southbound, take exit 7B, or northbound, take exit 7C. Continue on I-170 westbound to exit 238A for the airport. Alternative exits from I-170 westbound are exits 236 and 235C. From St Charles, or from I-270 from St Louis County or Illinois, approach on I-70 eastbound and take exit 235C at Cypress Road.
CAR PARKING The airport authority owns and operates two terminal parking garages and five car parks that are serviced 24 hours a day by free shuttle buses. The two terminal garages offer short-term hourly parking rates, an intermediate car park connected by a tunnel to the Main Terminal offers daily parking rates and Lot D offers long-term parking. A long-term remote car park is also situated on Cypress Road. Additional information is available from Super Park (tel: 314 890 2800).
CAR HIRE Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty all have desks on the lower level of the Main Terminal.

DISABLED FACILITIES The airport has lifts and disabled toilets. Wheelchairs are available from airlines or can be requested from security personnel. All car parks are accessible to disabled travellers and every parking shuttle bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
